A young couple with a baby on the way and an active dog needed their home to “grow” without adding square footage. They wanted a new kitchen with an adjoining family room, updated bathrooms and improved flow between living and dining room. The garage was converted into a new bedroom and bath by raising the floor and adding windows; a dark back bedroom became a family room with French doors to the backyard.
