The owner loved her Spanish Colonial’s vintage details but wanted to lighten and brighten the dark interiors. The client’s timeless furnishings and eclectic art guided the choice of finishes and palette. Dark beams and woodwork were lightened; floors were refinished and furniture was recovered and reused. Kitchen floors were faux‑painted in a turquoise–celadon checkerboard. The master bath features a claw‑foot tub, custom draperies, vintage cupboard, original artwork and faux‑painted walls.
